With an impressive 30 year career in international business and engineering, Dusty Rhodes steers the operations of Waypoint Bellwether™ and directs the fulfillment of its core mission to bring quality products and services to the global marketplace. Rhodes brings to the table a comprehensive worldwide consulting and production resource network. His past residences in Europe and Asia; and extensive travel in South America, Mexico and India give him a unique perspective in the negotiation of product development and manufacturing, procurement of raw metals, import / export protocol and process, and the sales and service of equipment produced by foreign manufacturers. This has resulted in a hands-on integrity that his clients trust explicitly. A SPECIALTY IN PLASTICS MANUFACTURING

Key to Rhodes’ success with Waypoint Bellwether™ is the lengthy entry of plastics experience within his resume. His career began as an apprentice mold maker, and after he achieved his Journeyman Card in mold making, he expanded into mold design. His experience includes the processes of injection molding, structural foam molding, gas assist, blow molding, both extrusion and injection, rotational cast molding, rotomolding and die casting. He has also executed the building and troubleshooting of new tool start-up’s

Rhodes’ knowledge of resin materials is extensive and includes additional knowledge about secondary operations including additive packages such as flame retardants, foaming agents and decorative enhancers like glitter, just to name a few.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

In addition to his MBA and BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Rhodes was awarded a Certificate in Plastics Technology from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan; and received a Journeyman Card in Moldmaking from the National Tool and Die Association.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILATIONS

Rhodes maintains active professional memberships in the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), North American Die Cast Association (NADCA), and the Manufacturers’ Agents National Association (MANA).
